Unsubscribe
Stop optional marketing email without losing important transaction notices.
Use the unsubscribe link in a recent Sterling email. If it fails, contact Sterling with the exact subscribed address and request removal from all marketing lists.
What you should know
- One-click link in recent email when available
- Removal from optional marketing campaigns
- Separate from auction and transaction notices
- Contact support if messages continue
Direct answer
The fastest way to unsubscribe is the link in the footer of a recent marketing email. If no working link is available, contact Sterling through the website or call 626-444-0311 and privately provide the email address to remove. Do not post your email address on a public page.
Unsubscribe steps
- Open the most recent marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in its footer.
- Confirm removal if prompted. Some systems ask whether to stop one category or all marketing.
- Save the confirmation. A success page or confirmation email helps document the request.
- Allow reasonable processing time. Messages already queued may still arrive briefly.
- Contact Sterling if email continues. Provide the exact recipient address and a copy or subject line of the unwanted message.
Messages that may still be sent
- Bidder registration, identity or deposit communications.
- Outbid alerts or auction-platform notifications requested through an account.
- Winning-bid, invoice, payment and wire-security messages.
- Inspection, pickup, removal and site-safety communications.
- Seller evaluation, agreement and transaction correspondence.
- Account security, legal, tax or service messages reasonably necessary to complete obligations.
If unsubscribe does not work
The address receiving the message may differ from the address you normally use, or the same person may appear on more than one legitimate list. Forwarding can also make it appear that Sterling mailed an address directly when another recipient forwarded the campaign.
Contact Sterling privately with the recipient address shown in the email headers. Sterling can investigate the source list and record a broader suppression request where appropriate.
Programmer action required
- Connect this page to a secure, single-address unsubscribe form or the email service’s hosted unsubscribe process.
- Do not use a static “success” message unless the suppression was actually recorded.
- Rate-limit and protect the form against abuse; do not reveal whether an unrelated address is subscribed.
- Log request time, source and result for compliance records.
- Apply noindex, follow to this utility page.

Frequently asked questions
Will unsubscribing cancel my auction registration?
No. It should stop optional marketing email, not cancel an account, bid, purchase or contract.
Why might I still receive an invoice or removal email?
Those are transaction or service communications needed to complete an auction obligation, not optional marketing.
Can I unsubscribe only from one category?
Use Newsletter Preferences if you want to keep auction alerts but stop used machinery, new machinery or other categories.
Can Sterling remove an address manually?
Yes. Contact Sterling privately with the exact address receiving the message.
Is this page functional without integration?
It provides safe instructions, but a programmer must connect a form or email-service endpoint before the page can process an address directly.
